1. Tie-in to the previous logo, with a semi-circular top (representative of a ball) and a capital "H" prominently displayed in the top to represent "Hillcrest".

2. The Softball from the middle of the "H" remains but has been stylized and moved down to be representative of a pitcher's mound (circle)

3. Because all of the games are played at Cummer, we created a visual representation of the ball field (home plate/diamond/home run fence). 

4. Prominent use of Hillcrest colours - Orange, Black and White

5. Pointed shape at bottom serves two purposes - duals as the baselines for the field and represents a "V" for "Village" (to compliment the "H" from Hillcrest).

6. Use of drop shadow effects, to provide dimension to the logo and modernistic graphic styling

7. Bold, uppercase lettering of "HILLCREST VILLAGE SOFTBALL" - centred and using a non-serif font for clarity and easier reproduction (such as screen printing, embroidery, website, printing)
